Last updated: 2026/05/07
This Privacy Policy describes how Fashionista ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores,
and discloses information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide, secure, and improve the App's functionality.
1.1 Account Information
You may use the App with an account or in guest mode. Some features, including cloud sync and subscriptions, may
require an account.
- Sign in with Apple: We process the Apple authentication token and may receive your name and
email address depending on your Apple privacy settings.
- Email authentication: If you sign up or sign in with email, we collect your email address
and authentication credentials. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us
in plain text.
- User ID: We use an account identifier to sync your wardrobe, manage account deletion, log
upload limits, and link your subscription status.
1.2 Wardrobe Content
- Photos and images: We collect clothing and outfit photos that you add to the App.
- Wardrobe metadata: We store information about your garments, such as clothing type, color,
material, description, image filename, and outfit combinations.
- Style data: We store your liked outfits, favorite colors, style preferences, wear history,
and related wardrobe analytics to personalize outfit suggestions.
- AI processing: Clothing images may be sent to Google Gemini to classify
garments, extract color and material information, scan full-body outfits, enhance images, and remove
backgrounds.
- Storage: Wardrobe data is stored locally on your device. If you use an account, wardrobe
data and images may also be synchronized to our cloud backend (Supabase) so you can restore
and access your data across devices.
1.3 Subscription and Purchase Data
- We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, entitlements, purchases, and purchase restores.
- RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user ID or your account user ID, subscription status, entitlement
status, product identifiers, purchase history, renewal status, and related transaction information.
- We do not directly process or store your payment card information. Payments are handled by the Apple App
Store.
1.4 Location and Weather Data
- With your permission, we request your approximate current location while using the App to provide
weather-based outfit recommendations.
- The App requests city-level accuracy where possible. Coordinates are sent to WeatherAPI.com
to retrieve local weather conditions such as temperature, rain, humidity, wind, and UV index.
- We cache weather forecast data on your device for performance and availability. We do not store a history of
your precise location.
1.5 Camera, Photo Library, and Notifications
- Camera and photo library: We request access so you can take or select garment photos for
your wardrobe.
- Notifications: If you enable them, we schedule local daily outfit reminders. Notification
preferences, such as reminder time, may be stored in the App. These notifications are local reminders and
are not used for advertising tracking.
1.6 Guest Mode Data
- If you use the App as a guest, your wardrobe data is stored primarily on your device.
- We may create a local anonymous identifier (
guestUUID) to manage feature limits, such as upload
counts.
- If you delete the App while using guest mode, guest data may not be recoverable.
1.7 Tracking and Advertising
- The current App version does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs and does not
request App Tracking Transparency permission.
- We do not collect IDFA for third-party advertising tracking and do not share your data with third-party
advertising networks for cross-app tracking.
